Cloudification

xITee offers Cloudification including analysis of existing systems and the following recommendations if, why and for which parts it makes sense to move the system to the cloud and what must be changed in order to do so. Subsequently, the cloud-optimized development with containers (Docker) and orchestration layer (Kubernetes) and/or using FaaS (function as a service), e. g. AWS Lambda can be performed.

Hybrid-cloud (usage of several clouds with central management point) or multi-cloud (independent usage of several clouds) became the buzzwords of today. There are 2 ways of developing cloud applications. The first option represent the containers (e.g. Docker and Kubernetes) with better existing tools and better control over the infrastructure. The second option is serverless / FaaS (function as a service, e.g. AWS lambda).  This option contains per-invocation billing with no need to care about underlying infrastructure at all and limits like maximum time for one invocation. Both have their pros and cons and areas of usage and can be also combined.

Data migration

Migration is a process of taking an existing solution and changing parts of it while maintaining its current functionality. The existing solution is used as a basis for the migration. Parts of the existing solution can be re-used if these are compatible with the new technologies/approaches. From the user point of view switching to the updated system must be seamless.

SW testing

We have experience in testing of load critical trading platforms (frontend, backend, communication interfaces), as well as with testing of various web applications from different industries. Testing of trading platforms includes for example: manual and automatic testing during the whole product lifecycle, stress testing simulation of users, quotes and trades, regression testing (migration to open source) or integration testing (external feeds; mobile gate layer).

Testing of web applications consist of, for example: cross browser and cross platform testing (PC/Apple/Mobile), basic security testing (authorization, SQL insertion attacks), automatic regression testing using Selenium IDE (WebDriver) or cross testing / cross environment testing.
